Facing the unknowns at the heart of change takes courage, curiosity, creativity and trust. I am grateful for the chance to support anyone in this deeply personal endeavor. I believe every person has the capacity to heal oneself, but often the systems, histories and circumstances we navigate pull us away from this grace. Therapy is a chance to replenish, and in some cases, discover these inner resources.
I received my masters degree in Community Mental Health from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I take a trauma-informed, collaborative and relational approach. My therapeutic style draws from person-centered therapy, psychodynamics, mindfulness, narrative and play therapy. I believe warmth, curiosity and honesty are vital aspects of transformative therapy.
I have a particular affinity for working with creative people; couples; people of mixed-race; LGBTQ+ people; those whose identities place them in the margins of dominant discourses; and people who are curious about how their past plays out in the present. That said, I hope and believe that people from all races, sexualities, ages and genders would find in me a sensitive and thoughtful attendant to the changes they long for.
